About Karwan
Karwan Gaznay has dedicated over a decade to public service in the Kurdistan Region, working to build accountable institutions that earn the trust of citizens. From local administration to the national parliament, his career has been defined by a belief that government must be transparent, responsive, and present in the daily lives of the people it serves.
Born and raised in Erbil, he has championed reforms that expand opportunity for young people, protect the rights of women, and strengthen the foundations of a diversified, resilient economy.

Official voice of the PUK — communicating party policy, representing its vision to the public, and engaging with media across the Kurdistan Region and beyond.

Served in the fifth term of the Kurdistan Parliament as deputy chair of the Relations Committee and a member of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
